Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are currently recruiting for a market leader within in the waste industry. We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis in the North West.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full maintenance of the plant equipment on site including managing a team of onsite engineers.
Implementation of the health and safety and maintenance of 3 large machines containing hazardous waste.
Manage a team of 12+ mechanical and electrical engineers.
Responsible for stock replenishment of parts and tools required.
Recruitment and performance reviews
Liaising with the shift and operations managers should a shutdown occur
Maintaining on-site targets and KPI’s
Ensure operational compliance with relevant legislation, company policies and procedures throughout the contract area including gas safety, electrical testing, fire safety etc.
Provide relief cover for the team leaders and operational managers, and provide day to day assistance in all aspects of their role.
Safeguard all duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with agreed company policy and procedures, with regard to commitments to efficient service provision, promotion of equal opportunities, a health and safety culture, a customer focused approach and good employee relations.
You will set-up, negotiate and manage maintenance contracts and schedules with external providers for specialist equipment or tasks that cannot be repaired by in-house engineers.
Ensuring that maintenance requests from the 3 plants are dealt with in a timely manner.
With great leadership and people skills you will be able to motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance in a demanding environment.
Using your exceptional communication skills, you will be able to forge and maintain efficient working relationships with all parts of the plant.
The successful person will possess a Higher Engineering qualification with good experience of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and material handling equipment and proven engineering management experience.
